Hitch hiking Updates

August 10th, 2012 — 12:46pm

Now, at the end of the summer I calculated my hitch hiking score: 15000 km in total!

This summer this was: Berlin > Utrecht (NL), Berlin > Chalon sur Saune (FR) & Berlin > Lublin (PL). I had some difficulties getting into France and out of the Netherlands, but for the rest my rides were quick and smooth! Still the best way of transportation :)

Hey lovely people all over the world.

Assuming that you all wonder what I have been up to, here are some pictures of me in the spotlight (with special smoke effects)

I am doing good, going into vacation soon and lost a couple of muscles because I am lazy nowadays.

When the sun shines

April 1st, 2012 — 4:13pm

Last weeks have been sunny and warm. Up to 22 degrees, even worth taking off your shirt every now and then!

Parks transform into public barbecues, jugglers and slack liners are everywhere.

My life here in Berlin goes well. Working in the circus every morning, training acrobatics every afternoon, juggling every night, that is pretty much how things go.

This work week was quite difficult: 65 kids which is double the usual, age 11 – 13. They told us they had some kind of learning disabilities but it was actually mostly complicated behaviour dysfunction I don’t know how to call it.

I was responsible for 6 girls and one guy who I had to teach walking on the tight wire and making an act with them. For three of them it was impossible to be silent and listen to me or do what I say, one of them was addicted to trying to walk alone when I would not watch and then fall badly, three of them were ill during some days of the week which made it harder to make an act, one of them decided 5 minutes before the show started that he did not want to perform and one of them never talked. Oh and none of them had a reliable memory.

Luckily the kids were wonderful, loved me, laughed and danced with me (the whole class loves this annoying ‘Nossa Nossa’ song which we used for our act and finale of the show) and I got a handwritten letter of thanks from one of the girls!
Amazing, but it takes all your energy.
Luckily it is vacation now. Continue reading »

Camino del Rey

September 8th, 2011 — 3:22pm

The Camino del Rey, ‘The Kings Pathway’ is often referred to as the worlds dangerous pathways. There have been several deadly incidents, but because of the beauty of the gorge (la Garganta del Chorro) and the thrill of the path, many climbers and adventurers take a gamble and walk the path!
One of these fools is me. Together with a Finnish friend Daniel and my ex-girlfriend Sanne I walked the path, and took a lot of pictures. All the pictures in this post are made with my camera!

This place can be found in Spain, near Malaga, at the tiny village called Chorro. We stayed at the house of two wonderful hippies in Alora, and drove to Chorro by car.
